Mission and vision
When we see war, climate change or poverty, we want to do something! But where to start? Often barriers limit our good intentions: we don't have time, or it simply slips our mind... This means there is untapped potential for a sustainable and just world.
That's why we founded The Social Handshake! A social handshake is a synonym for doing good. We make doing good easy and together with employers, employees and charities, we contribute to a sustainable and just world.
Our Team
This is our team! We came together around the idea that more good will be done if we make doing good easier. We come from different backgrounds, but we do have one thing in common: we want to contribute to a better world, and do this in a smart, effective and fun way!
Sandra
Sandra van Beest is our Founder and CEO. With a background in the NGO sector and as a BCG Strategy Consultant, she is all about Doing Good AND Doing Business. Sandra loves Books.
Pepijn
Pepijn van Lammeren is our CTO. He gets energized from using his knowledge to contribute to a better world. In his spare time, Pepijn likes guitars and long walks.
Olivier
Olivier Kruger is our CFO. He uses his experience in the financial sector and as SparkOptimus Strategy Consultant for doing business with social impact. Olivier loves the outdoors, preferable while philosophising!
Marieke
Marieke van den Berg is our Head of Operations. She comes from the energy sector and looks for impact through entrepreneurship. The outdoors energizes her and sunny days are her favourite!
Zana
Zana Wiedijk is our Customer Impact Manager. She has a background in international politics, international development and a predilection for connecting people to make an impact. She loves discovering new places, people and experiences.
