Many times have I been called a Hypocrite, and let’s be honest, often it is true! (and sometimes funny)

Taking the car to a climate change demonstration - Hypocrite!

Supporting UNICEF and wearing a coat from Primark - Hypocrite!

And most heard:

Advocating for a better world, while having 4 children - How dare I !

While I would often defend myself - I do try to do more good than harm - I’ve come to realize it is impossible to do everything right all of the time..

There are only two ways to not be a Hypocrite:

1. Never do anything worth while

2. Never being vocal about it

Neither is appealing.

1. It would be depressing and wouldn’t be possible with my work, as my work is to make doing good as easy as possible through Payroll Giving.

2. If we want to grow a cause, we cannot do it in silence, even if that makes us Hypocrites. Charities need both money and awareness. To grow the Bcorp movement, proud Bcorp members are essential. And to change history, we need people who speak up!

Therefore next time someone calls me a Hypocrite I will try to wear it as a badge of honor and say ‘ Thank you!’

It means there is room for improvement, but at least I also did something worthwhile.
